OUR MARCH 10 OUTREACH EVENT WAS FANTASTIC!
More than 100 concerned individuals gathered on March 10th at St. Mark Presbyterian in Newport Beach to listen to World Vision Senior Photojournalist Laura Reinhardt, a deeply empathetic advocate for children, share her recent experiences with Syrian refugees, representing this devastating crisis through her amazing photos and stories. After hearing the many ways that World Vision, the largest global Christian humanitarian organization, impacts the lives of thousands of refugee children and their families, the group helped assemble Promise Packs of supplies for refugee children, and experienced refugee life in 3D Virtual Reality. There was a tremendous outpouring of financial support of over $50,000, thanks to a generous match from an anoymous donor.
FALL FRIENDSHIP AND COFFEE GATHERING WAS WONDERFUL!
We gathered at St. Mark Presbyterian, to hear guest speaker, Dr. Ray Norman, author of Dangerous Love., tell his dramatic spirit-filled story. Coffee with friends, updates on WOV outreach to young Kenyan students, gift shopping with our annual favorite, Heavenly Treasures (while helping artisans support their villages)--what's not to love!

Sounds of Hope: Fullness of Life
Women of Vision Orange County thanks our performers, sponsors, guests, and volunteers for an inspiring and uplifting spring event. We were honored to have renowned Christian speaker/author/singer-songwriter/author Sheila Walsh and "America's Tenor" Steve Amerson bless us with powerful voices and words of hope. Volunteer auctioneer Jim Franklin returned for a third year for another spirited live/opportunity auction, and World Vision's Cindy Mesko joined us to deliver our closing prayer. Guests also enjoyed a fun silent auction.
All funds raised at the event support the families and communities that WOVOC supports in Kenya, Bolivia, Jerusalem/West Bank and Tijuana, as well as World Vision's Advocacy efforts, refugee assistance, and local projects in Southern California.
Thanks to The Resort at Pelican Hill for the beautiful venue and kind assistance.

A Colorado surgeon currently serving on the Board of World Vision, Dr. Chung offered his perspective as a child refugee saved by the efforts of World Vision during the Vietnam conflict. His story is both compelling and miraculous. 250 friends came to be part of World Vision's efforts, hear Vinh's story, meet his lovely family and enjoy breakfast. 200 Promise Packs kits for refugee children were filled, personalized with messages, ready for shipment by World Vision.
